Relocation in the Netherlands, explained in plain English
Arriving in a new country means a long list of things to arrange, and your moving company should not add confusion. Every message, quote and arrival time with us can be handled in English. If your landlord, housing agency or building manager writes in Dutch, send us what they need from the move and we help you work out what it means for the day.
Amsterdam homes are often not built for modern furniture. Old canal houses have steep, narrow stairs and tight doorways, and many apartments have small lifts or none at all. We look at these details before the move, ask for photos when helpful, and plan how your sofa, boxes and appliances will get in, so that the move does not turn into a surprise.
Expat timing is rarely flexible. Flights land on a Friday, a corporate housing contract starts on Monday, and your shipment of boxes arrives a day early. We are open 24/7 and take evening and weekend moves, and same-day moves are possible subject to availability. Our vans carry up to 17 cubic metres, which suits most apartment-sized relocations within the Netherlands.

A van on a narrow canal street needs space. We tell you what to ask your municipality (gemeente) about a parking reservation or permit for the moving van.
Carrying, set-up and assembly
We carry everything into the right rooms and can reassemble beds and wardrobes, so your first night in the new home does not start on the floor.
